Hi, I’m Isabella. I am a third year student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at the University of Northern Iowa. I am excited to start my counseling journey with Bijelic Counseling and am honored to be trusted by my clients to help them through their life journey.
Through counseling, I strive to build strong, trusting relationships with my clients, guiding and supporting them as they share with me. My style is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. Through discussion and activities I aim to equip my clients with skills and self-esteem to help them through all phases of their life. I value a unified approach within counseling, creating a safe space for difficult conversations and directness within sessions. I hold myself responsible for continuing my learning and building my knowledge regarding cultural competency within and outside of sessions.
A typical session with me will include:
Recapping topics from previous sessions as well as updates.
Exploring thoughts, feelings, relationships, behaviors, and concerns.
Processing life experiences.
Identifying strengths and successes.
Engaging in activities to build emotional intelligence.
Collaborating on goals and strategies for in between sessions.
Safety and empathetic listening.

Hi, I’m Allison. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa’s trauma-informed program. I’ve worked in the field as an advocate for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. I worked as a therapist at the UNI Counseling Center as a student intern serving college students with various mental health concerns.
I strive to create a welcoming and safe space for healing and growth to take place. I view the clients as the experts of their own lives and continuously provide support along their journey of therapy.
I look forward to supporting and empowering my clients on a path to identifying goals, brainstorming the different routes to achieve those goals, and the ability to review and modify throughout the process.
I find empathy, genuineness, and a collaborative relationship to be important in creating a space for healing to take place. I work with clients on developing coping strategies, skills, and techniques that foster growth.
A typical session with me looks like:
Partnering with you to build a therapeutic relationship.
Creating an action plan collaboratively by brainstorming goals.
Using interventions to process what you’re comfortable with.
Discussing information between sessions including successes and challenges.
Reviewing the treatment plan and goals to ensure therapeutic progress.

Hello! I’m Jenn.
As a therapist, I think of how amazing it is when my clients choose to work through their biggest worries and difficult moments. I realize how brave clients are to do so. I am humane and I am passionate about having therapy be a safe space, where I can support your healing and your values. Your mental health does not define who you are. Instead, your vulnerability will help you develop your full potential.
A typical session with me will include:
Empathetic listening and a judgment-free zone.
Exploring your thoughts, feelings, relationships, and functioning.
Partnering with you to discuss techniques to help you work toward your goals. A plan of what you would like to work on in your therapy sessions.
Updates on how you have been in between sessions.
Celebrating your successes and discussions on your genuine happiness.

My biggest passion is within maternal health and women’s rights. I strongly believe that everyone has a right to self determination and bodily autonomy. Being an advocate for people wanting to make decisions for their body brings me joy. Within this, I also advocate for the rights of the LGBTQ+ population. Overall, I enjoy working with kids, families, and expecting parents!
I believe everyone has the right to decide what they want therapy to look like for them. Clients are encouraged to assist me in planning the course of therapy and deciding their goals. I am open to a wide range of ways to process stressors, such as mind-body work, talk therapy, and incorporating any skills or strengths my clients already have.
A session with me might look like:
Deciding what you need to feel safe and welcomed.
Creating goals and a plan for therapy.
Learning new skills to help cope with stress.
Exploring thoughts and feelings related to the discussions in therapy.
Processing negative thoughts and beliefs.
Being supported and encouraged to push your boundaries and meet your goals.
Celebrating accomplishments!
